The Public Kashif Al-Getaa Library in Najaf participated in the campaign "I am Iraqi - I read" which was launched recently in Najaf province on the gardens of the Palace of Culture. The cultural festival was opened by the Governor of Najaf Adnan Al-Zarfi and attended by hundreds of intellectuals and those interested in the cultural aspect and reading the books. The campaign included the presentation of thousands of scientific books in all disciplines so that the intellectuals can read and review the books. The large book fair permint the acquisition of three books for free to promote the culture of reading books. the cultural festival also included an exhibition of art paintings participated by the finest painters, Calligraphers, including calligrapher Jassem Najafi. The ceremony was attended by a number of political, religious and social figures from inside and outside Najaf. The campaign included many scientific and cultural institutions, publishing houses, as well as poets of al-Faseeh and al-Shaabi. The public Kashif Al-Getaa library played an effective role in the success of this campaign, which was organized by a number of young Najafi intellectuals. The campaign included a cultural festival of the book and a poetry festival and the exhibition of paintings and calligraphy and decoration. In the cultural festival, many poets sang with love of Iraq and the spread of the culture of the book. It is noteworthy that Maoja group is the campaign's sponsor, a youth group adopting educational projects for youth awareness.
